The Womanism Way™ is Mx. Lena Queen's justice-centered methodology for erotic healing and embodied liberation — the embodied liberation praxis at the heart of Erospirituality. Erospirituality is a decolonial integrative approach to comprehensive sexuality education and somatic sexology informed by evidence-based sexological research, the science of neuroplasticity, and embodied intelligence.

Erospirituality is the decolonial sacred relationship between sexuality and spirit rooted in neuroscience, the ancestral medicine of energy work, and embodied intelligence. In practice, Erospirituality is the practice of erotic intelligence and the reclamation of erotic sovereignty.

Erospirituality Centre (EC) provides trauma-informed, integrative somatic sexuality education with courses, masterclasses, healing and professional development Sexual Attitude Reassessment (SAR) intensives with somatic sexological bodywork practices of erotic presence, breathwork, restorative movement, and energy medicine. Most of EC's  offerings meets the requirements for American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors, and Therapists (AASECT) continuing education credits.

Through Erospirituality, we reclaim our thoughts, our nervous system, and our intuitive mind-body relationship, shaping our capacity for pleasure, touch, intimacy, and liberation — and how to embody that understanding as an erotic liberation path to embodied freedom.

 The concept of erospirituality was first introduced by Randolph J. Bowers in 1996 (Erospirituality: Sex, Ecology, Evolution — The Ontopoetics of Soul).  Mx. Lena Queen, LCSW, M.Ed. takes up that thread and extends it into a decolonial, trauma-informed, pleasure-affirming daily practice, grounded in Audre Lorde, bell hooks, Malidoma Some, and the sexological research of Dr. Tracie Q. Gilbert. The Womanism Way™ is the justice-centered methodology within Erospirituality™, the embodied healing praxis. The Womanism Way of becoming is informed by practices of radical self-compassion, radical self-permission, and radical responsibility to heal and center the perception of Self.

Ersopirituality guides survivors, the erotically curious, and the practitioners who hold space for them from shame and disconnection into embodied safety, self-trust, feeling desirable, and reconnected to their wholeness. Where a "method" implies a clinical product, a Way names a lived path — one rooted in womanism, the Black feminist tradition that centers the wholeness, spirit, and erotic life of Black women, students experience The Womanism Way™ through Erospirituality Centre's offerings , including Queen's signature healing intensive, Healing the Erotic Self™, and it's self-study course, Erotic Living.

For me, this collective liberation work began in 2017 as a desire to create a sacred space for sexual healing for queer and non-queer Black women and Black non-binary professionals —Womynism Sacred Circle, a one-day healing retreat rooted in queer Womanism, which later expanded to welcome others of the QTBIPOC from the Global Majority who are also erotically marginalized.  Using the erotic, as informed by Audre Lorde, in addition to, the ancestral wisdom and contemporary research of erotic intelligence, this liberation work centers on the importance of our sexual, spiritual, and somatic well-being—a wholeness and WHOLE-Self approach to liberation. Erospirituality Centre explores the non-touch integrative somatic sexological work of erotic intelligence, energy medicine, and the intuitive mind-body relationship with a decolonial approach to sacred sexuality.

A joke aside, in our current societal and global state of chaos, we need deliberate ways of healing and being that honor our stages of being and healing an embodied liberation-crisis, surviving, and thriving. Rooted in the safety of Black queer erotic healing, Erospirituality Centre reclaims erotic wholeness as the embodied capacity for pleasure, a birthright by creating space for an intuitive relationship with our mind, body, energy, and spirit. This is how the erotic helps us reclaim our desires, our joy, our intimacy, and our radical self-acceptance.
